My posts are usually thematic. But let's take a different route today.

In this,I decided to mix it up a bit. Each collection of quotes has a unique flavor.
If you have wild ideas, passionate dreams, and boundless enthusiasm, you might sometimes be labeled "crazy." But if that is what crazy is, then we should all have some amount of craziness in us.

Kiss [J-Entercom]

This piece of video describes the characteristics of love. These qualities can be found in all truly loving relationships. The problem is actually with trying to search love in our daily lives. It is often found that most of us don’t look for these qualities in a person. Instead, we look at physical appearance, wealth and fame.

Write Naked..

The following post was written last night January 6, 2010. I thought a while before posting it. I asked myself, why ? Why share this? The answer is that this blog is about the process of writing. The pitfalls, obstacles, what works and what doesn't–for me. I hesitated in posting because of the subject matter, but the subject matter isn't what is so important here. What is important is that I sat down and just wrote something, something spontaneous, something ... its from a piece 'Write Naked'-Hanna R Goodman.I just like its preface, it goes like ..
'Write Naked' is written by author Hannah R. Goodman. Her musings on the writing process and the teaching of writing will inspire readers to pick up their pens (key boards) and get started on their very own Great American Novel (or Blog!).

I also think that the inspiration in this piece is significant–another book, reading someone else's writing stirred something within me that made me want to write, and, there lies the power of reading. Reading.. Reading.. Reading..

I Love Your Smile

Suppose there are twelve universal dreams; twelve basic dreams that we all have whether or not we're willing to admit it. the worst is the one when all your teeth fall out

But he said..

If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it. ~Andy Rooney

Education Perspectives

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act was passed by the India parliament on 4 August 2009 which describes the modalities of the provision of free and compulsory education for children between 6 and 14 in India

The bill makes education a fundamental right of every child between the ages of 6 to 14 and specifies the minimum norms in government schools. It specifies reservation of 25% seats in private schools for children from poor families, prohibits the practice of unrecognized schools, and makes provisions for no donation or capitation and no interview of the child or parent for the admission.The Bill has been criticized for failing to maintain a uniform equitable standard of quality for all schools and for excluding children under 6 years of age.

~New Year Musing~

2009 was an eventful year with a serious impact on how we think about ourselves and the world. Preparing for our own values. What are these values, how do we come to acquire them and why do we follow them? All the issues were captured in one simple question: How do I convince my father to tell the truth? Yes, how? Its all the 'relationship' works there ,some values

I reflected some values, grouping them under three :

1. Personal Values: Personality, Honesty, Integrity;

2. Social Values: Tolerance, Benevolence, Free Exchange (Paisa..hehe);

3. Political Values: Liberty, Rule of Law, Subsidiarity.(Fake)

How do we come to believe in them and practice them? I can’t really decipher among all the varied influences over the whole period of 2009. Some of the worst corporate malpractice, fraud and theft we have seen recently reflects this lack of values. The latest example is of Satyam.

May the New Year give us the time and courage to reflect on our basic values: Think, Speak, and Act.

happy new year
